தே³வாதி³தே³வனுத தே³வக³ணாதி⁴னாத,²
தே³வேந்த்³ரவந்த்³ய ம்ருது³பங்கஜமஞ்ஜுபாத³ ।
தே³வர்ஷினாரத³முனீந்த்³ரஸுகீ³தகீர்தே,
வல்லீஸனாத² மம தே³ஹி கராவலம்ப³ம் ॥ 2 ॥

நித்யான்னதா³ன நிரதாகி²ல ரோக³ஹாரின்,
தஸ்மாத்ப்ரதா³ன பரிபூரிதப⁴க்தகாம ।
ஶ்ருத்யாக³மப்ரணவவாச்யனிஜஸ்வரூப,
வல்லீஸனாத² மம தே³ஹி கராவலம்ப³ம் ॥ 3 ॥

க்ரௌஞ்சாஸுரேந்த்³ர பரிக²ண்ட³ன ஶக்திஶூல,
பாஶாதி³ஶஸ்த்ரபரிமண்டி³ததி³வ்யபாணே ।
ஶ்ரீகுண்ட³லீஶ த்⁴ருததுண்ட³ ஶிகீ²ந்த்³ரவாஹ,
வல்லீஸனாத² மம தே³ஹி கராவலம்ப³ம் ॥ 4 ॥

தே³வாதி³தே³வ ரத²மண்ட³ல மத்⁴ய வேத்³ய,
தே³வேந்த்³ர பீட²னக³ரம் த்³ருட⁴சாபஹஸ்தம் ।
ஶூரம் நிஹத்ய ஸுரகோடிபி⁴ரீட்³யமான,

ஹாராதி³ரத்னமணியுக்தகிரீடஹார,
கேயூரகுண்ட³லலஸத்கவசாபி⁴ராம ।
ஹே வீர தாரக ஜயாமரப்³ருந்த³வந்த்³ய,
வல்லீஸனாத² மம தே³ஹி கராவலம்ப³ம் ॥ 6 ॥

பஞ்சாக்ஷராதி³மனுமந்த்ரித கா³ங்க³தோயை:,
பஞ்சாம்ருதை: ப்ரமுதி³தேந்த்³ரமுகை²ர்முனீந்த்³ரை: ।
பட்டாபி⁴ஷிக்த ஹரியுக்த பராஸனாத,²
வல்லீஸனாத² மம தே³ஹி கராவலம்ப³ம் ॥ 7 ॥

ஶ்ரீகார்திகேய கருணாம்ருதபூர்ணத்³ருஷ்ட்யா,
காமாதி³ரோக³கலுஷீக்ருதது³ஷ்டசித்தம் ।
ப⁴க்த்வா து மாமவகளாத⁴ர காந்திகாந்த்யா,
வல்லீஸனாத² மம தே³ஹி கராவலம்ப³ம் ॥ 8 ॥

ஸுப்³ரஹ்மண்ய கராவலம்ப³ம் புண்யம் யே பட²ந்தி த்³விஜோத்தமா: ।
தே ஸர்வே முக்தி மாயாந்தி ஸுப்³ரஹ்மண்ய ப்ரஸாத³த: ।
ஸுப்³ரஹ்மண்ய கராவலம்ப³மித³ம் ப்ராதருத்தா²ய ய: படே²த் ।
கோடிஜன்மக்ருதம் பாபம் தத்​க்ஷணாதே³வ நஶ்யதி ॥

The Subramanya Ashtakam can be recited at any time with devotion, but traditionally it is considered most auspicious when recited:

• Early morning after bath, during daily prayers.
• Tuesdays and Saturdays, which are special for Lord Murugan.
• On Shashti tithi (sixth lunar day), especially Skanda Shashti.
• During Krittika Nakshatra days, associated with Lord Muruga.
